Justin Trudeau visits Manitoba
Justin Trudeau was in Winnipeg this afternoon speaking to a packed Punjab Banquet Hall. It was an electrifying speech which was received with enthusiasm by the more than four hundred who had come from all parts of Manitoba. Justin talked of the need to listen to Canadians from across Canada instead of dismissing or silencing those who would speak up. He spoke of the need to enhance our scientific effort and listen to scientists like those from the Experimental Lakes Area, instead of silencing them and cutting their funding. He spoke of the need to build a Canada for all Canadians, not just for some parts of our country. He spoke of the need to build the Liberal Party and to show the leadership needed now and in the years ahead. Thank you, Justin, for coming to Manitoba.
Justin Trudeau also met separately with people from outside of Winnipeg (below) to emphasize the fact that Justin is concerned about all of Manitoba. There were representatives present from all of the seven federal Manitoba ridings from outside of Winnipeg to discuss farm issues, rural issues, water management, northern issues and the situation of those who are still flood evacuees after the 2011 Flood in Manitoba.
Bertha Travers (above) from Little Saskatchewan tells Justin about the very difficult situation of those who are still flood evacuees.
